Thousands rally in Sanaa in solidarity with Palestinians amid ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza

SANAA, YEMEN - APRIL 25, 2025: Thousands of Yemenis gathered once again at Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana’a, on Friday, April 25, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people amid ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza. Waving Palestinian and Yemeni flags and carrying banners, protesters chanted slogans condemning Israeli assaults and calling for an end to the ongoing violence. The demonstrators voiced unwavering support for Palestinians as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens. Israel resumed its genocide on the Gaza Strip on March 18, abandoning a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. It has killed over 51,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the enclave since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
