Senator Reid to Press on Funding Deliberations, Senate Races, Media Treatment of Trump and Clinton

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada tells reporters at a weekly briefing that the Koch brothers cannot buy America, that he is confident that Democrats will retake control of the Senate, remarking on the Nevada Senate race by calling Republican candidate Joe Heck a pawn for presidential candidate Donald Trump. Reid recounts the story of DREAMer Astrid Silva, a young immigrant and as he says more of a Nevadan than Heck. Asked a terrorism lawsuit bill passed, Reid says he supports it and that Saudi Arabia is not his favorite country. Asked about a stopgap funding bill, Reid says members of his caucus do not know and are waiting for a written proposal from Senate Republicans, and that they will find a way to legislate but there are only so many times they can turn the other cheek, noting that Republicans shut down the government before and are being urged to do so again. Asked about the health of Hillary Clinton, Reid says the press is letting Trump get away with not having an audit, that Clinton has been treated unfairly but will become President and Democrats will take the Senate in the 2016 elections.
