Scottish independence: Michael Moore interview; ENGLAND: London:EXTMichael Moore MP (Scottish Secretary) interview SOT- vital Scottish people get to decide their future in UK very clearly / lot of legal uncertainty which is feeding economic uncertainty / I want to ensure we get rid of the legal uncertainty to allow people in Scotland to decide our future in clear and decisive way Q: is Camron interfering?Moore SOT- no interest for anyone to have uncertainty over whether referendum result would be legal or not / want to get rid of legal uncertainty / want a fair and decisive referendum / get on with issue of whether or not we stay within UK / on Olympic site Scottish sites are doing well from their links within UK contributing to success for whole of UK Q: on timing of referendum?Moore SOT- those in Scotland want to get on with real debate / need to get on with debate in fair and decisive way and get back to focussing on day to day living Q: is there legal uncertainty about what sort of question can be asked in referendum?Moore SOT- I will set out to parliament the issues as I see them / we are engaging with Scottish govt / risk of legal challenge is significant / better to get rid of that / give Scottish govt power to decide this without any doubts to ensure Scotland knows its future Q: How will process play out?Moore SOT- I will be making a statement to parliament as to what we think is the most appropriate way to solve the uncertainty so we can get on with the proper debate
