Senator Schumer says Trump intimidated by Putin

New York Senator Chuck Schumer says hours before President Trumps first State of the Union address that a different kind of president would be encouraging special counsel Bob Mueller in his investigation, would want to know precisely how Russia meddled in the 2016 election and severely punish Russian President Vladimir Putin. Schumer asks why Trump does not use power given him to impose sanctions by a year, near unanimous vote of Congress such as the reflection of seriousness in releasing a list of Russian oligarchs put together by Forbes magazine. Schumer says the American people are asking why President Trump would give Putin a pass when he attacked democracy, concluding that if Trump wishes to save his presidency from the shame of having failed to address a grave threat to the country he would announce in the State of the Union address in no uncertain terms, sanctioning President Putin but he was paralyzed when it comes to Putin and his cronies.
