The Old Man of Storr is a 50m (165 feet) high rock pinnacle at the southern end of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The ridge runs for around 20 miles on the north-eastern side of the island. The Old Man is about 10 miles north of Portree, the main town on the Isle of Skye. This picture was taken at dawn after an hour long walk in the dark to get to this viewpoint.Low cloud and mist is typical of the weather on the Isle of Skye, and in this picture the early morning sun can be seen breaking through.
