(Original Caption) Ty Cobb, who gave up his own education to become one of baseball's all time immortals, presented these three medallions to the trustees of the foundation which he established, for college or post graduate training for many young men and women. The Georgia Peach, whose name heads the list of Baseball's Hall of Fame, came home to Atlanta to make the announcement. The amount of the scholarships was not disclosed, but Dr. Daniel Elkin, chairman of the foundation board of trustees, said it was "considerable."
