Youngsters Holding Black Scottie Pup

(Original Caption) There will soon be a replacement for Fala in the Roosevelt household. The little black dog was one of America's most beloved pets, having often been photographed with his late master, President Roosevelt. When the faithful pet finally succumbed last April, two youthful Scottie fanciers of Toledo, Ohio, wrote a letter of sympathy to Mrs. Roosevelt and included an offer to give her one of the litter expected by their pedigree Scottie, Bonnie Lassie. Mrs. Roosevelt accepted the offer, and as soon as the young pup they have chosen is old enough to travel, he'll be romping in the pawsteps of his famous predecessor. And here he is, the new Fala. Actually, the little black bundle of affection has no name as yet. He will be shipped to Mrs. Roosevelt in a few days and will no doubt have an official name soon.
