Marine Sisters Riding in Military Vehicle

(Original Caption) The only twins at the New River, North Carolina base of the women Marines are Betty, left and Bonnie Jernigan, 24 years old of Sparta, Tennessee. They are shown as they got their first ride in a Marine Jeep during their training period at Camp Lejeune. When their training period ends, Betty and Bonnie and many other "lady leathernecks" will take over jobs left vacant by regular Marines who have been called to active duties.
