Clarence House Stairs

A staircase in Clarence House, the home of Princess Elizabeth and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, in London, 1949. This wing was added in 1875 during a period of remodelling. At the bottom of the staircase is a Chippendale mirror given to the royal couple as a wedding gift. The carpet is mushroom grey, and the curtains, red.
