Ship-dock crash... Johnson Line's SS 'Los Angeles', 15 November 1951. In bulge is J.A Jackson, Marine Superintendent, Matson Navigation Company, without hat;and A.E Ockerman, chief clerk. 5: Close up of damage to dock shows J.A Jackson, without hat;and Captain A.T Ostrander, surveyor for Johnson Line, wearing hat, lean over to examine damage under dock. Other shots show huge gap in dock and shed from water's edge. Inside to outside shots note sign at left top pointing to Forward Gangplank. This is where thousands of visitors to Matson's Lurline would have been imperiled had crash occurred ten hours earlier as the Lurline sailed from (?) Honolulu at that time'..
