Robert Ryan Arriving At Idewild Airport

(Original Caption) Robert Ryan, worried about reports of bomb threats to his wife, puts in a hurried long distance phone call to California upon his arrival at Idewild airport. He arrived in New York tonight (8) from Paris where he completed his role as Brig. General James M. Gavin, in Darryl F. Zanuck's production of "The Longest Day," the historic account of D-Day, June 6, 1944. Gavin is now U.S. Ambassador to France.
