Paratroopers Jumping from Airplane

(Original Caption) 9/9/1945-Pendleton, OR- Airborne soldier fire fighters tumble from a Troop Carrier Command plane over the scene of a forest fire in the Northwest. Using similar jump tactics to those developed in the great paratroop operations at Normandy, Holland and over the Rhine, these Negro paratroopers of the Airborne Infantry are assisting the U.S. Forest Service in a peace mission.
