Ariane-5 rocket launched from European Space Port in Kourou, French Guiana

KOUROU, FRENCH GUIANA - OCTOBER 05: The control room of the Ariane-5 rocket on October 5, 2016 in Kourou, French Guiana. Interestingly the European countries decided to jointly house their rocket port amidst the rainforests of French Guiana in South America. The massive and high tech launch complex is used to launch Ariane-5 rockets, Vega rockets and Soyuz rockets. On October 5, 2016 an Indian and an Australian communications satellites were successfully hoisted into space by this heavy lift rocket.
