Hitachi Purchases Horizon Nuclear Power

VOICED: Britain's nuclear power plans were given a boost today after Japan's Hitachi signed a #700 million deal to build a new generation of plants in this country. Hitachi is purchasing Horizon Nuclear Power which intends to build reactors on existing sites on Anglesey, and at Oldbury, near Bristol. Horizon was put up for sale by its German owners E.On and RWE after Berlin shut down that country's nuclear plants in the wake of the Fukushima disaster last year.
