The Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore, and Massaciuccoli, a green oasis within Italy, extends between the Province of Pisa and Lucca (in the Region of Tuscany). The topography of the park, rich and complex as it is, comprises lacustrine zones, dunes, the sea and an expansive strip of coastal pines that are the determinants of the area's exceptional biodiversity. It was the preferred destination for leisure and relaxation by noble Tuscan families and later the Savoys. Very different habitats with varied microclimate situations lead to the presence of a great variety of animals like wild boars, deer and foxes.
