Wide Open Spaces in Great Basin National Park. A setting looking to the southwest while taking in views across a grassy meadow with more distant forest and mountains. This is while walking the Sage Steppe Loop in Great Basin National Park. My thought on composing this image was to capture a more sweeping look across this meadow by angling my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward. That would raise the horizon higher into the image and perhaps bring out more of a feeling of grandeur with the distant peaks and ridges. The blue skies and clouds would be a backdrop to complement the earth-tone present in the lower portion of the image.
