The red-brick building is Tokyo Station, whose total reconstruction work including a new station square was finally completed in December 2017. People go back and forth in the station square open space. The building of Tokyo Station had received little damage from the large earthquake in 1923 and survived the Tokyo air raids during World War II. Historic architecture is accompanied by modern office buildings which are built one after another. The five-story white building beside Tokyo Station is the old building of Tokyo Central Post Office which was reborn into a stylish shopping mall in March 2013.
