Saintes Cathedral (in French : "Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Saintes") is a flamboyant gothic style church in Saintes, France. The church dates from the 12th Century. Back then it was a Roman Church, but it was rebuilt in Gothic Style in the 15th and 16th century. In the Saint Jean Writings, we can find in 6.64 "Spiritus est qui vivificat : caro non prodest quidquam : verba quæ ego locutus sum vobis, spiritus et vita sunt." "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
