The Qutab Minar, with its 72 meters high, is the tallest brick-based minaret in the world, honor of the service to become a World Heritage building. Inspired by the Jam Minaret in Afghanistan, its construction began in 1193 and it took 160 years for this magnificent work of art to be completed. The minaret is arranged on five floors each with its own design and you can see the verses of the Koran carved on its red sandstone walls.
