Poznan is among the oldest cities in Poland, and was one of the most important centres in the early Polish state.Poznan Old Town is a central neighbourhood of the city of Poznan in western Poland, covering the area of the walled medieval city of Poznan. It is called Stare Miasto in Polish. There is a group of buildings in the central part of the square, chief of which is the Old Town Hall (Ratusz).
