Mt Fuji and plum blossom, taken at Iwamoto-yama Park, which is 193 meters high public park, located in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.Plum blossom season starts in late January and lasts until March in Japan. In spite of severe cold climate, plum flowers are brave enough to start decorating bare branches of plum trees in our parks and gardens with red, pink and white blossoms, hinting to us that spring is around the corner, which is very encouraging to us who have endured cold winter with few flowers to please our eyes and warm up our heart. They start blooming in cold weather, prior to the cherry blossom season.Mt Fuji is designated as UNESCO World Heritage site.
