Mers-les-Bains is a seaside resort and tourism of the Somme, situated on the coast of the English Channel, near the mouth of the Bresle, that is to say just at the border between Picardy and Normandy. This resort also labeled since 2011 Green holiday resort since 2013 and playful and sporty City, has a pebble beach (at low tide and sand) of about one kilometer long and high chalk cliffs. On top of these, near the statue of Our Lady, emerges a vast panorama (walking distance past the church and by car from the shelf in the direction of Blengues) from where it is possible to see the sea, the nearby town of Le Tréport, its marina and commerce, the city of Eu including its castle and collegiate church, then north to see the eponymous Hâble Ault and in the direction of the Somme. On clear days, the Picardy coast unfolds on the horizon until Marquenterre. Close to Sea and its territory is the Bois de Rompval, maritime timber now property of Coastal Protection and not open to the public, and the Bois de Cise, which is attached to the town of Ault, superb residential wood overlooking the sea. With Eu and Tréport, Mers is part of a geographical entity called the Three sisters cities, besides distant from each other about 3 km.
