The Galette des Rois (Literally "Kings' Cake") is a dessert traditionally served on January 6, the Feast of the Epiphany, in France, Quebec, Belgium, Acadia, French Canada. This version is from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and consists of flaky puff pastry with a dense center of frangipane, or almond. A bean, or porcelain figurine, is typically hidden in the cake.
