"Keziliya" in Uighur means red cliff. The most significant part of Great Canyon is Ayi Grotto (Ah-ai grotto fresco),which was discovered on 1999,shows that it had been deeply influenced by the Buddhism in Tang dynasty-era.It was a history testimony of east-west cultural exchanges on the ancient Silk Road.
