(Original Caption) Walter Hagen successfully defended his title as National Professional Champion at the Olympia Fields Country Club, defeating Bill Melhorn, and breaking the course record, finishing 6 under par. The final match of the title bout was played in a drizzling rain, and a gallery of 3,000 followed the players over the 31 hole course.
