GETXO, SPAIN - 2021/08/25: The Vizcaya Bridge suspension ferry transporting travelers and vehicles. The Vizcaya Bridge was the first ferry bridge built in the world with a metallic structure and it was inaugurated on July 28, 1893 and its design was the work of Alberto Palacio and Elissague. Located at the end of the Ría de Bilbao, a few meters from the mouth of the Cantabrian Sea, its ferry transports people and vehicles between the towns of Portugalete and Getxo. In 2006 it was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for being one of the most outstanding constructions of the European Industrial Revolution and of iron architecture.
