World Flight

1924: The crews of the Douglas DWC World Cruisers of the US Air Service, at Croydon aerodrome during their first successful aerial circumnavigation of the world. Leaving Lake Washington on 4 April 1924, the two surviving aircraft returned on 28 September. They used interchangeable wheel and float undercarriages.
