AFRIN, SYRIA - MARCH 18: (----EDITORIAL USE ONLY MANDATORY CREDIT - " TURKISH RED CRESCENT / HANDOUT" - NO MARKETING NO ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS - DISTRIBUTED AS A SERVICE TO CLIENTS----) Syrians receive food aid from Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency and Turkish Red Crescent in rurals of Afrin with the participation of head of Turkeys Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) Mehmet Gulluoglu and director of Turkish Red Crescent Ibrahim Altan on March 18, 2018 after Afrin town center was cleared from PKK/KCK/PYD-YPG and Daesh terror groups by Turkish Armed Forces and Free Syrian Army within the "Operation Olive Branch" launched in Afrin, Syria. Turkey launched Operation Olive Branch on January 20 in Syrias northwestern Afrin region; the aim of the operation is to establish security and stability along Turkish borders and the region as well as to eliminate PKK/KCK/PYD-YPG and Daesh terror groups, and protect the Syrian people from the oppression and cruelty of terrorists.
