Woolworth's Picket

FEB 29 1960, FEB 30 1960, MAR 1 1960; CU Students Sympathize; Woman passing by ignores a group of the 34 University of Colorado students who picketed Woolworth and S. H. Kress Co. stores in Boulder Monday. Although no segregation is practiced in the Boulder stores, the students picketed for an hour and a half to protest the arrest of Black students in the South during recent attempts to force desegregation of lunch counters in variety stores there. The picketing came as a result of a request by the National Student Assn. that students at each of the NSA member colleges gather for a silent protest.
