Stalin Statue Being Removed by Protesters

(Original Caption) Budapest, Hungary: Stalin Statue Pulled Down. A swarm of Hungarian patriots attach ropes and wires to a huge statue of Joseph Stalin which they used to topple the monument during fighting in the Hungarian capital. The demonstrators replaced the broken statue with the Hungarian flag. On October 31st, Hungarian Air Force planes dripped leaflets on the city threatening to bomb Soviet tanks if they do not leave the capital immediately.
