Sheppard Family Members

(Original Caption) Several members of the Sheppard Family were in court today when the hearing on the appeal of Dr. Samuel Sheppard for freedom until his trial comes up in October was resumed. Sheppard, held in the July 4 murder of his wife, Marilyn, has been in jail for seven weeks. His attorneys contend that there is not enough evidence against him to hold him without bail. This morning Prosecutor Frank T. Cullitan criticized the Sheppard family for their "baseless suggestions" of other suspects and declared that the rights of Dr. Sheppard have "Been scrupulously observed."
