(Original Caption) Seventeen year old Lorraine Crappy (above) is being hailed as one of the world's greatest women swimmers and as Australia's hope in the forthcoming Olympics because of her performance in Sydney last night when she shattered two world records. Miss Crapp, who broke the 440 yard record a week ago, last night did the 880 yards in 10:34.6, which is 23.2 seconds faster than the pervious world's record. She swam the 800 meters in 10:20.9, clipping 11.5 seconds from the old mark. Earlier this season the Sydney girl set new Australian marks in the 100 meters, 110 yards and the 200 yards.
