(Original Caption) Secretary of State William P. Rogers, meeting with reporters at the State Department, appealed to the press to voluntarily withhold publication of information from secret Pentagon study of the Vietnam War which would "harm the security of the United States." Rogers said that "the government remains ready to lend its assistance in identifying any documents which if disclosed would result in such harm."
