Publisher Samuel I. Newhouse

(Original Caption) Rutgers University announced the establishment of a center in Newark in honor of publisher Samuel I. Newhouse, (shown here). Rutgers President Edward J. Bloustein made the announcement at the commencement exercises of the Newark graduate units of the state university. Newhouse graduated in 1916 from the New Jersey Law School which became part of the Rutgers Law School in Newark. Newhouse is the publisher of the Star Ledger in Newark and 28 other newspapers in nine other states.
