However, following through on a blazing pitch is the more familiar Gibson pose. During a recent stretch, Gibson pitched and won 12 straight games, 8 of which were shutouts. The streak encompassed 101 innings, in which he gave up three runs and 65 hits, issued 16 walks and struck out 91 batters. 8/5/1968
