Rescue Workers at Destroyed Federal Building

Rescue workers and industrial cranes sift through the rubble of the destroyed Federal Building in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing. On April 19th, 1995, a fuel-and-fertilizer truck bomb exploded in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people. Timothy McVeigh, convicted on first-degree murder charges for the worst terror attack on US soil at that time, was scheduled to be executed June 11, 2001.
