(Original Caption) 6/10/1924-London: Portrait of American opera singer Madeline Keltie, who has been chosen to sing the leads in several popular operas at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Miss Keltie is the youngest woman who has ever sung title roles in grand opera. Although she has not yet reached her 26th birthday, she has sung stellar roles in Italy, and 2 seasons with the San Carlo Opera Company in America. She is shown here in costume for Madame Butterfly, the opera in which she made her debut before royalty at Covent Garden.
