Fukuzawa Yukichi ( 1834-1901) is a famous thinker and educator of Japan. After 40 years, the portrait on the front of the new 10000 yen banknote issued in 2024 will be replaced by the industrialist Rongyi Shibuya, known as the 'father of Japanese capitalism'.
