BAGHDAD, IRAQ: Penitents pray and walk thru Sadr City during the celebration to commemorate the death of the Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Al Sadr and his two sons. Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Sadeq al-Sadr, who was killed in 1999, along with two of his sons, by agents presumed to be working for Saddam Hussein, became one of the major symbols of Shi'a resistance to the Ba'athist regime. Sadr City (or more accurately Thawra District) is one of nine administrative districts in Baghdad. , Sadr City holds more than 3 millions Shiite residents.
