(Original Caption) South Bend, Indiana: Notre Dame football fans not only had a chance to watch the signal calling of Terry Hanratty and the great catches of Jim Seymour, but also caught sight of the bare footed kicker by the name of Rene Torrando of Bal Harbour, Florida. The shoeless Torrado, shows his force before the start of the Notre Dame-California game here. Notre Dame took a giant step forward in a successful defense of its national championship by defeating California 41-8.
