Jerusalem Pride Parade 2023

The annual event is expected to be larger than previous years with as many as 10,000-15,000 people marching, according to organizers. Although Israel currently has its first openly gay speaker of the Knesset (parliament) critics are still concerned about LGBTQIA+ rights in Israel under this government. A counter protest organized by the extremist organization ‘Lehava’ was also planned for nearby, and in previous years other right-wing and religious counter-protests occurred.
