L. E. Cates Surrounded by Wax Heads

(Original Caption) Los Angeles, California: Wax faces. Making Faces For A Living. L. E. Case who is shown above, (and try to pick him out), of Los Angeles, is perhaps this country's most famed artist in wax. He is shown amidst some of the reproductions of famous people of the past which he had just completed under contract. The two score of faces, said to be masterpieces of waxen portraiture, show almost every great name from Napoleon to Confucius. They were made to the order of a Los Angeles movie producer and were only completed after several months of research and work. Mr. Cates is pictured in the center of the waxen group.
