(Original Caption) 10/5/41-New York: Joe Di Maggio of the New York Yankees slides safely home with the winning run in Yankee half of the 9th inning of the 4th World series game at Ebbets Field. Henrich (7) who scored ahead of him stands by. Umpire Goetz calls the play as Dodger Catcher Owen (10) gets the ball too late to tag the sliding Yankee. Dodgers failed to score in their half of the 9th and the game ended a 7 to 4 Yankee victory.
