Kashmir Hit By Flash Floods

Indian Military forces continued the rescue and searches for the missing Indian pilgrims after flash floods and landslides that swamped through tents and community kitchens on Friday evening. Dozens of injured people have been shifted to nearby hospitals while many people are believed to be still trapped under the debris. The 43-day Hindu Amarnath Pilgrimage is being held after a gap of three years. The annual pilgrimage, which began on June 30, has been suspended following the catastrophe and a decision on its resumption will be taken after rescue operations get over, a senior administration official said, Senior officials said.
