Himalayan Sulphur Hot Water Springs at Chumathang On The Banks of Indus River In Ladakh

CHUMATHANG, LADAKH, INDIA -OCTOBER 10: A hot water spring high in the Himalayas, a natural sulphur spring on the banks of River Indus throws up water at about sixty degrees Celsius, on October 10, 2024 at Chumathang Village, in Ladakh, India. The steaming hot water scientists believe comes from 15 to 20 kilometres below the Earth from a fault zone where the Indian and Tibetan plates crash into each other and both geo-chemical and tectonic forces throws up the water to the surface as a hot water spring.
