Scaffolded City Building

(Original Caption) 9/6/1954-Hiroshima, Japan-Devastated by the first atomic bomb nine years ago, Hiroshima is still in the midst of reconstructing its war-torn buildings. The City Office still shows its damage by the A-bomb. The buildig was completely burned out by the heat wave of the A-bomb. The city officials have fixed the inside for reuse but the outside has yet to be completed. Mayor Hamai said that reconstruction of the City Office will be suspended until the city planning has been completed.
