(Original Caption) Gil Stephenson, Army fullback is hit hard by a Navy tackler a split second after he had scored Army's first touchdown in the opening session of the services classic at Philadelphia's Municipal Stadium. Impact of the tackle catapulted the ball from Stephenson's hands, but the damage had been done. The Army marched 66 yards from the opening kickoff to make a tally, a crowd of 102,443, including President Truman, watched the game.
