(Original Caption) Former Ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy, father of the President , suffered a stroke while playing golf and was rushed to St. Mary's Hospital. After examining the 73-year-old Kennedy in the operating room for more than an hour, doctors said an operation to relieve the blockage could not be made. His condition was described by hospital authorities as "serious." Ambassador and Mrs. P.
