Refugees Seek To Reach Northern Europe Via Italy

Approximately 40 refugees from Ethiopia arrived by night train from Rome this morning and aid workers supplied them with food and water. The refugees say they are trying to reach Sweden, where they will apply for asylum. According to local politicians up to 100 refugees and migrants pass through the city of Bolzano daily. European Union nations are currently discussing how to distribute 40,000 refugees camped in Italy and Greece more fairly throughout Europe, though some members, including Austria and the Czech Republic, are flat out refusing to accept any more refugees.
