(Original Caption) Conrad N. Hilton, (L), President of the Hilton Hotel chain, holds checks worth $97,000,000 in the office of the Manufacturers Trust Company. The $97,000,000 was part of the $111,000,000 purchase price of the Statler Hotel chain. The giant transaction--Hilton's purchase of the Statler chain--was formally completed today.
